Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time developer Toys for Bob have clarified in a twitter post on their official account that the new game will not feature microtransactions despite a game listing on the Microsoft store page alluding to them.
Over the weekend the Microsoft Store listed the game at $59.99 and stated the game would contain “in app purchases”. With the digital pre-orders of the game coming with a set of skins for Crash and Coco, many assumed the game would feature downloadable skins, but the developer clarified in a tweet that this isn’t the case. The tweet reads;
We're seeing confusion about #MTX in @CrashBandicoot 4 and want to be 💎 clear: There are NO MICROTRANSACTIONS in #Crash4. As a bonus, the Totally Tubular skins are included in all digital versions of the game.— Toys For Bob (@ToysForBob) June 30, 2020
Crash Bandicoot 4 will be released on October 2nd and is a direct continuation from the original Naughty Dog trilogy, the new game is said to feature over 100 levels and should scratch the itch for people who have waited for a proper Crash Bandicoot follow-up for over a decade.
